Construction Technology for Women - Facilitator’s Guide

This file contains a facilitator guide created by WITT National Network. The Gender & Cultural Awareness Workshop Manual was designed as a vehicle to meet one of the goals of the Construction Technology for Women (CTW) pilot project - "to positively influence systemic change in the construction technology sector and in secondary schools and post-secondary institutions". Vocational Readiness Programs For Young Women – A “How-to” Handbook

This file contains a booklet on "Vocational Readiness Programs for Young Women", a "How-to" Handbook. This booklet was compiled as a part of a 1975 International Women's Year Project funded by the Women's Program, Secretary of State. The University Women's Club of Saskatoon, as an International Women's Year project, explored ways in which the community might become involved in establishing vocational readiness and life planning programs for young women. specifically, the project committee and, finally, to compile a "How-to" manual containing its research and conclusions.

This file contains a "life planning kit" for high school girls. The kit was assembled by Sheila Rowswell with financial assistance under the YES programme, and with some direction from the Department of Continuing Education, College of Education, University of Saskatchewan. The University Women's Club of Saskatoon, Canadian Federation of University Women also contributed to the kit, as part of their International Women's Year project. The Education Committee of CFUW served as advisers. Funding for the project came from the Department of the Secretary of State. Its contents: What now? A Role Modelling Kit For Kindergarten – Grade Three

This file consists of a role modelling kit that Women in Trades and Technology (WITT) National Network contracted WITT Nova Scotia to develop. It was designed to facilitate local WITT groups in providing role modelling programs for young children. This guide was used to plan and organize classroom visits. The guide provides background information that demonstrates why role modelling is important for girls in this age group; the steps and process to guide local WITT Groups, as well as female role models and educators in preparing for classroom visits; a suggested list of activities to use before, during and after classroom visits; details on setting up and using the Tool Trunks; a bibliography that includes resources about other role modelling programs.
