These records offer information relevant to the Women’s March Against Poverty in June 1996, and the World March of Women in 2000. Material in this collection dates from October 1995 through to 2000. The papers were compiled by the head office of the Canadian Labour Congress, as well as local offices throughout the region. The records reflect all organizing strategies which took place prior to the marches, as well as the organization of the marches, and organization of post-march activities and events. Records include print and non-print items, including textual records, photographs, and posters.

This fonds consists of interviews with Florence Bird, Micheline Dumont, Doris Anderson, and other women, which relate to the Royal Commission on the Status of Women, the National Action Committee on the Status of Women, and the Canadian Charter of Rights. Interviews and recordings were conducted by Patrice LeClerc in the late 1980s, in preparation for her thesis.

Cette collection est constituée d'entretiens avec Florence Bird, Micheline Dumont, Doris Anderson et d'autres femmes, portant sur la Commission royale d'enquête sur le statut de la femme, le Comité national d'action sur le statut de la femme et la Charte canadienne des droits. Les entretiens et les enregistrements ont été réalisés par Patrice LeClerc à la fin des années 1980, dans le cadre de sa thèse.

This fonds contains documents relating to the Canadian Women's Studies Association (CWSA) from its beginning in 1982 until 2006. It consists of mainly textual documents relating to the administration, membership, activities, promotion of women's studies as an academic discipline in Canadian universities, and the publication of the periodical and monograph Atlantis, Newsletter and Weaving alliances. The fonds also contains material from other organizations collected by members of the CWSA, namely, the Action-éducation des femmes (AEF), the Canadian Abortion Rights Action League (CARAL) and Women Plan Toronto (WPT).

The administrative documents include the CWSA constitution, reports, an organizational handbook, meetings' minutes, notes, agendas, a speech, proposals, an administrative history, short biographies, and correspondence. It includes financial documents such as budgets and financial statements, as well as promotional material such as pamphlets, newspaper clippings and advertisements. It also contains documents relating to conference planning and other activities carried out by the organization.

The fonds contains copies of the Newsletter, Atlantis and Weaving alliances.

Le fonds documente également l’intérêt et le soutien de l’organisation pour la recherche sur les conditions des femmes au Canada et sur la scène internationale. Les articles (CRIAW papers) et la revue (Feminist Perspectives) publiées par l’organisation sont contenus dans le fonds. Le fonds comprend également d’importantes ressources documentaires sur les réflexions émergeantes dans les années 80 et 90 sur le développement des technologies reproductives et génétiques et leurs effets sur les femmes.

The fonds includes records produced or collected by the organization between the late 1970s and the 2000s. It contains organizational documents such as founding documents, minutes of board meetings, documents related to board elections, annual reports and strategic plans, financial reports, documents related to recruitment and membership. The fonds contains correspondence and documentation related to the various committees, the annual conference, and the organization of special events (1995 Beijing World Conference on Women, 2002 Toronto International Meeting on Women and Health). The fonds documents the organization's interest in and support for research on women's conditions in Canada and internationally. Articles (CRIAW papers) and the publication (Feminist Perspectives) released by the organization are contained in the fonds. The fonds includes important documentary resources on the emerging debates in the 1980s and 1990s on the development of reproductive and genetic technologies and their effects on women.
The collection consists largely of textual material, but includes photographs of various internal events, and of events in which the organization has participated.
