Anne Vespry is a lawyer based in Ottawa. She was involved with the Woman's Common (Toronto) from the time it opened in 1988 until it's closing in 1994, as both a volunteer and employee, including as a member of the Entertainment Committee, helping to set up events held at the Common.
The Women's Club was a cooperative club/restaurant/event space owned and operated by women located on Parliament Street in Toronto from 1988 to 1994. At it's height it has over 1600 paid members. The club provided a safe, harassment-free environment for lesbians.
