This file contains records relating to Susan Mann's involvement in the founding of CRIAW [Canadian Research Institute for the Advancement of Women], including notes from the annual meeting in 1983, an inventory of research publication in 1978, correspondence and more. CRIAW was founded in April 1976 as a response to the International Women's Year. Its purpose was to act as co-ordinatinor, stimulator, facilitator, initaitor and disseminator of research about women's experience in Canada. Also included is a note to file by Susan Mann from 2016 which states that she gave her founding records over to the organization in the 1980s.
