This series contains records relating to the 1996 Women's March Against Poverty. It includes records on the planning, execution, and review of the march and includes administrative, financial documents as well as correspondence and publicity.

The March Against Poverty records were collected by the head office of the Canadian Labour Congress from 1995 until 1997, and donated to the Archives and Special Collections in 1998 as part of the Canadian Women’s Movement Archives. The World March of Women 2000 records were donated to the Archives and Special Collections in 2003. Prior to this, they were held by the Canadian Women's March Committee. The Canadian Labour Congress worked on both the March Against Poverty and the World March of Women 2000, as a participating organization on the Canadian Women March Committee.
