Scope and content
The poster advertises activities organized for March 8th International Women's Day in Bengaluru, India. Poster reads " ... and within the silence of my soul, were struck the chords of new harmony." Image of a woman from India dressed in a sari, drawn in black and white with a raised fist walking towards the viewer from within a red female gender symbol. The poster was originally in the Women's Information Center collection in Toronto. This collection comes from several donations made in the second half of the 1980s by women involved in several Canadian organizations surrounding the feminist movement since the early 1970s.
