There are additional notes to file written by Susan Mann dated all to March 2017, which provide further information about the writing and research for this book; the first includes the following excerpt: "Of all the prep notes related to Clare Gass Diary, I couldn't bear to throw these out--copies of my correspondence with various Gass relatives, their repliea, and my notes from telephone conversations, mostly with Elizabeth Anderson, niece of Clare Gass + owner of major part of [manuscript] diary of her aunt [diary is at Osler Library, McGill]..."
