The series consists mostly of research notes relating to a historic case of Elizabeth Bethune Campbell, a Toronto-born socialite. She fought a fourteen-year battle in Ontario to prove her mother's estate was stolen by her uncle. With no legal training, she was the first Canadian woman to appear before the Privy council, and win.
