Reeks S7 - Special Projects and events

Wendy McPeake was involved in organizing several feminist events in Ottawa during the 1970s and 1980s. This series consists of records related to the organization of an art sale and a tour across Canada by Tatiana Mamonova, a Russian exile, guilty of writing critically about women’s issues (Wendy McPeake, letter of May 31, 2016). It includes records related to a book on women and prisons “Too Few to Count” that Wendy McPeake organized to have published by Press Gang Publishers in Vancouver and arranged promotion in Ottawa. The series also concerns a promotion for Ann Cameron and for a book, “Still Sane” by Sheila Gilhooly and Persimmon Blackbridge, as well as an exhibit and sale of work by Toronto artist Winsome Winsome.
