This is an audiovisual recording of a presentation by Alison Kerr at the "Family Violence Conference on Issues and Education" held September 27th and 28, 1990. This conference brought together educators and advocates at Quetico Park, Atikokan, Ontario. It was hosted by NOWDC and the Atikokan School Board, and was facilitated by NOWDC. It brought together shelter workers and school personnel from that district. Alison's presentation, entitled "Pornography and Family Violence," focused on how we are teaching children, boys specifically, about violence and pornography. She speaks of statistics and the language that is used to speak to young boys on the subject of violence in the home, whether sexual or physical.
