The series contains both the unpublished and published photographs that were taken for Montreal Health Press handbooks and books concerning issues such as sexual health, sexually transmitted diseases, contraception, sexual assault, childbirth and menopause. The photographs are for both French and English language publications, and are authored by numerous photographers: the locations are not always identified.
The majority of the photographs depict women, sometimes in portrait photographs, also as mothers, or as part of a couple: they are of different ages. The photographs also feature men and individuals of different ages, ethnicity and sexual orientation to highlight text concerning sexuality and sexual health, within the Montreal Health Press handbooks.
