This is an interview with Dr. Monique Frize, a clinical engineer and professor who has published over 200 papers on artificial intelligence in medicine, infrared imaging, ethics, and women in engineering and science since she began her career in the 1970s. Frize is a retired Distinguished Professor at Carleton University, a Professor Emerita at the University of Ottawa, and an Officer of the Order of Canada. She also held the first national Northern Telecom/NSERC Chair for women in engineering at the University of New Brunswick (1989-1997), and she was co-founder and president of both the International Network of Women Engineers (2002-2007) and Scientists and the Canadian Institute for Women in Engineering and Sciences (2007-2022). The interviewer is Meghan Tibbits-Lamirande.
