Bereik en inhoud
This is an audiovisual recording of a presentation put on by Women's Place Kenora on economic inequality, especially in northern Ontario areas such as Kenora. Charlotte Holm makes introductions and presents journalist Linda McQuaig, who wrote about equality and the economy. McQuaig speaks on the inequalities of wealth as well as the taboo that developed when bringing up subjects of inequality. McQuaig talks about the deficit, the alternative budget, and what can be done to improve the issues with higher poverty rates. The speech is followed by a question and answer period.
