Scope and content

The poster advertises activities organized for International Women's Day in Toronto. Poster reads" Rally-Demonstration, 11 am sharp City Hall Rotunda, Fair 1-4 pm, Women's Right to a job, Women's Right to Choose, Women's Right to Independence." Main image is of a bare-footed woman in a red dress holding a purple flag that is billowing out behind her on a beige background with black and red text. Red, purple and black bands of horizontal colour at the top and bottom of the poster. The poster was originally in the Women's Information Center collection in Toronto. The documents in this collection come from several donations made in the second half of the 1980s, by women involved in several Canadian organizations surrounding the feminist movement since the early 1970s.
