The Lois Bédard fonds reflects Bédard’s advocacy for women’s rights, as well as her professional involvement in the women’s union organization, Organized Working Women. The fonds focusses on administrative records from Organized Working Women, including Lois Bédard’s correspondence and executive reports from her time serving on the organization executive council in the early 1980s, until her resignation as president, in 1986.

The fonds reflects Lois Bédard’s efforts to lobby government and organizations to promote women’s equality. The fonds includes briefs, petitions, letters to government, and notices promoting equal pay for work of equal value, as well as women's reproductive rights, and their right to universal day care.

Le fonds Lois Bédard témoigne de la défense des droits des femmes par Lois Bédard, ainsi que de son engagement professionnel au sein de l'organisation syndicale des femmes, Organized Working Women. Le fonds se concentre sur les documents administratifs d'Organized Working Women, y compris la correspondance et les rapports exécutifs de Lois Bédard depuis qu'elle a siégé au conseil exécutif de l'organisation au début des années 1980 jusqu'à sa démission en tant que présidente, en 1986.

This fonds consists of records produced and received by Greta Hofmann Nemiroff in her capacity as an educator, feminist, and writer in the various positions she held, as well as committees and projects in which she was involved. It contains mostly textual records, including both professional and personal correspondence, project reports, conference, workshop notes and programs, news clippings, resource materials, as well as copies of her written works. This fonds offers an insight into her involvement in women’s liberation movement in the 1980s and 1990s, generally in the research fields of feminist education theory and practice, gender-fair education and the development of workable pedagogy of diversity.
Included are administrative records from her position at the Simone de Beauvoir Institute, Sir George Williams University [Concordia University], the New School at Dawson College and as the joint chair in Women’s Studies program at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University. Additionally, records produced during the various projects, grants, and committees, including as project manager of the CCLOW, president-elect at CWSA and president of SIGI.

Ce fonds est constitué de documents produits et reçus par Greta Hofmann Nemiroff en sa qualité d'éducatrice, de féministe et d'écrivaine dans le cadre de divers postes, comités et projets auxquels elle a participé. Il contient principalement des documents textuels, dont de la correspondance professionnelle et personnelle, des rapports de projets, des notes et des programmes de conférences et d'ateliers, des coupures de presse, des documents de référence et des copies de ses œuvres écrites. Le fonds donne un aperçu de son engagement dans le mouvement de libération des femmes dans les années 1980 et 1990, généralement dans les domaines de recherche de la théorie et de la pratique de l'éducation féministe, de l'éducation sur le genre et du développement d'une pédagogie viable de la diversité.
