This collection consists mostly of photographs used for publishing. The publication is not noted but it was likely National Action Committee on the Status of Women publications "Feminist Action" and "NAC Status of Women News. "The main subjects are young girls and children, working women, women and unions, a health care.

Photos: Women Writers 1983 Forum

The file contains images from Write-On -83 A Spring Festival of Canadian Women Writers. Also contains a notice from the event and notes about the images including names of individuals. The photographer is Mario Scarttoloni.

Photographs: Health

The 6 black and white photos show a woman holding a newborn baby, a woman learning how to do a breast exam, two women looking at a medical model, a nurse weighing a newborn (photograph by John Oughton), and an exam bed with stirrups. The colour photographs show a woman's chest with a mastectomy These were taken by Martha Rose and accompany an article she wrote on Reconstructive Breast Surgery (Status of Women News)

The images were used in Volume 5, Number 2 December 1978 issue of Status of Women News

Pakistan Embroideries

The images show women working on textiles and also contains images of embroideries. Includes an envelope from Pakistan Embroideries addressed to the Editorial Committee NAC (Ms. Wendy Lawrence).

The two images of embroideries appeared in an article in the Status of Women News Summer 1980 vol. 6, no. 3 issue on page 9.

[Photos of women working in various jobs]

The images how women working at different trades, including field workers, garment workers, grocery vendors, egg vendor, forklift driver, etc. These images were taken by Don Summerhayes. There is also an image of a dental hygenist cleaning a woman's teeth.

Also includes an image that was used on the cover of Status of Women News, Vol. 5, No. 3 March 1979 issue.

How to Survive in the Institution

The image depicts a parking lot in front of a building. There is also a note that accompanies it from NAC Status of Women News noting credit to D. Summerhayes with the name of the article that the photograph is to be used in.
