Petrala, Pat

Ottawa Women's Network

This series contains material produced by the Ottawa Women's Network, a group that Pat Petrala co-founded with Sarah Cloutier in the Spring of 1980. The OWN sought to help women learn how to run meetings, take minutes, speak in public, and keep them informed on a variety of gender related issues. Primarily, OWN saw itself combating women's isolation, exchanging information, and teaching new skills. The diversity of material in Petrala's fonds reflects the OWN's mandate to connect women with one another and with various women's support organizations. The series contains promotional material, financial and administrative records, issues of the OWN newsletter, photographs, and other related documents.
