Scope and content
The Victoria Rape Society proposed various educational activities to raise awareness about rape as a serious crime. They did presentations in high schools, offered workshops and courses on women’s self-defence, and provided on-call counselling for women who had been raped or assaulted. They also worked with the police in order to assist raped women and help them with the legal process. This series consists of records related to the Society's education activities. It contains pamphlets, lists of community groups, lists of elementary schools, general documentation on consequences of rape crimes, documentation related to counselling and crisis intervention for emergency services, forms like initial contact sheet and third party report, statistics forms for volunteers hours for counselling sessions, training records, notes, speaking engagements forms, and the “Rape” booklet.
