Biographical history

Dorothy Jane Curzon (née Sanders) was a feminist activist and one of the founders of the New Feminists Organization in Toronto, which participated in numerous demonstrations and welcomed members of diverse political affiliation. Curzon taught accounting at Sheridan College from 1965-1975, having obtained her chartered accountant certificate from the University of Toronto. Curzon had three children with her husband, David Macklem Curzon.


Dorothy Jane Curzon (née Sanders) était une militante féministe et l'une des fondatrices de "New Feminists Organization" à Toronto, qui a participé à de nombreuses manifestations et accueilli des membres de diverses affiliations politiques. Curzon a enseigné la comptabilité au Sheridan College de 1965 à 1975, après avoir obtenu son certificat de comptable agréé à l'université de Toronto. Mme Curzon a eu trois enfants avec son mari, David Macklem Curzon.

The fonds also reflects on Curzon’s personal feminist activities, including her correspondence with affiliated women and participation at a summer women’s institute.
