The poster advertises statistics relating to violence against women. Poster reads "119 women died in domestic violence in 1989 in Canada. First Mourn. Then work for change" and "Statistics from the Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics. Concept and design by Joss Maclennan. Produced by Standard Fine Printing." Image of red roses on a background of white lace. Come to a candlelight vigil. The poster was originally in the Women's Information Center collection in Toronto. This collection comes from several donations made in the second half of the 1980s, by women involved in several Canadian organizations surrounding the feminist movement since the early 1970s.
