This file consists of records related to Women and Words conference. Women and Words (Les Femmes et les mots) is a country-wide conference held in Vancouver, British Columbia in Jult, 1983. The conference wa a meeting of women working with the written word in both traditional and alternative frameworks including writers, editors, publishers, critics, printers, typesetters, academics, playwrights, librarians, distributors, booksellers, translators, educational and cultural organizers. The file contains pamphlets, reports, notes, open letters to friends and participants, correspondence. It includes essays on "History of Feminist Presses in Canada", "Relationship between Writer and Publisher". It contains also agenda and documents related to the Annual General Meeting of the West Coast Women and Words Society.
