Cette sous-série concerne les documents relatifs aux activités de Monique Frize en tant que première titulaire de la première chaire nationale des femmes en ingénierie (Northern Telecom-NSERC Women in Engineering) à l'Université du Nouveau-Brunswick (UNB) à Fredericton. En mai 1989, le doyen de la Faculté de génie de l'Université du Nouveau-Brunswick à Fredericton, le professeur Frank Wilson, a demandé à Northern Telecom et au Conseil de recherches en sciences naturelles et en génie du Canada (CRSNG), deux des plus importants organismes de financement au Canada, d'établir une chaire sur les femmes ingénieures à l'Université du Nouveau-Brunswick. Monique Frize a été nommée titulaire le 1er décembre 1989. En tant que titulaire de chaire, Monique Frize avait pour mandat de consacrer la moitié de son temps aux fonctions universitaires (recherche, enseignement et supervision d'étudiants diplômés) et l'autre moitié aux activités reliées à la Chaire destinée à augmenter la participation des femmes dans le domaine de l’ingénierie de la formation à la carrière professionnelle. En tant que modèle pour les jeunes étudiantes en génie, Monique Frize a élaboré des programmes visant à recruter et à retenir des femmes en génie. Elle a rencontré des élèves et des groupes de parents partout au pays. Cette sous-série comprend des rapports et des documents reliés à l’organisation de la chair. Elle contient également des documents relatifs aux articles écrits par Monique Frize, ainsi qu’aux discours, conférences, ateliers et visites d’écoles qu’elle a effectués durant ses fonctions. Cette sous-série présente également la documentation de référence collectée par Monique Frize qui se divise par localités : Nouveau Brunswick, Nouvelle Écosse, Terre-Neuve, Ontario, autres provinces canadiennes, Amérique, Europe et International. Elle comprend des documents fédéraux, et du matériel de référence sur des associations canadiennes reliées aux domaines de spécialisation de Monique Frize.

This sub-series concerns documents related to Monique Frize's activities as the first holder of the first National Chair of Women in Engineering (Northern Telecom-NSERC Women in Engineering) at the University of New Brunswick (UNB) in Fredericton. In May 1989, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, Professor Frank Wilson, asked Northern Telecom and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), two of Canada's largest funding agencies, to establish a Chair on Women Engineers at the University of New Brunswick. Monique Frize was appointed as an incumbent on December 1, 1989. As a Chairholder, Monique Frize's mandate was to devote half of her time to university functions (research, teaching and supervision of graduate students) and the other half to activities related to the Chair aimed at increasing the participation of women in the field of engineering from training to professional careers. As a model for young female engineering students, Monique Frize has developed programs to recruit and retain women in engineering. She met with students and parent groups across the country. This sub-series includes reports and documents related to the organization of the flesh. It also contains documents relating to articles written by Monique Frize, as well as speeches, conferences, workshops and school visits she has made during her tenure. This sub-series also presents the reference material collected by Monique Frize, which is divided by localities: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Ontario, other Canadian provinces, America, Europe and International. It includes federal documents, and reference material on Canadian associations related to Monique Frize's fields of specialization.
