Scope and content
The Labour movement organizations' series, 1975-1996, documents Lois Bédard’s involvement in women’s labour organizations, especially with Organized Working Women. The series includes Bédard’s correspondence and executive reports, as well as publicity for organization rallies and workshops. The series reflect the organization’s efforts to promote universal access to daycare, equal opportunities for women, and skills and development training.
It includes the program and conference materials for the event co-sponsored by the Labour Council and Humber College Women’s Centre: "Women in the Work: It's About Time!" The conferenced formed the basis for the founding of Organized Working Women.
