Biographical history

Yeshayahu Jelínek was a Slovak-Israeli historian. He was born in Prievidza and moved to Israel in 1949. He studied at the Hebrew University and at Indiana University, where he received a doctorate in 1966. He taught at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.

This series consists of personal papers related to Yeshayahu Jelinek's life, works and writings on various subjects, including the Hlinka Guard, the Communist party and Slovakia. It contains articles, a map, the pamphlet Europe since 1914 and two letters.
