This is a sound recording of an interview conducted by Frances Gregory, completed in the course of her work with INTERCEDE, the International Coalition to End Domestics Exploitation. The interviewee is Josphine Thompson, a domestic worker from Trinidad working in Toronto at the time of the interview. Topics discussed include the reasons for immigrating and experience of life in Canada, exploitation and threats by an employer, contact with immigration, and the value of domestic work.
