Image depicts the 1987 International Women's Day (IWD) demonstration in the streets of Toronto with a large red banner that reads "Aboriginal Women: The Strength of Nations." In the center of the image stands a woman and her child who are Black and the child is wearing a t-shirt with a logo similar to poster 10-001-S5-I97 in the collection that reads "International Women's Day: Fighting Racism and Sexism Together!" A woman who is Black stands to the left holding a poster that reads "Native Children Are Wanted Children." A yellow sign to the right reads "No more forced sterilization on Native women."
