The Nelson Violence Against Women in Relationship Coordination Committee (VAWIR) is a committee of service providers and representatives from sectors involved in preventing and responding to violence against women. The Advocacy Center was a member of this committee. Its goals were to improve collaboration, coordination and education around ending violence against women in Nelson. This fonds contains documents received by the Advocacy Center from the committee.

It also includes records from a research project on women's health, employment and abortion organized during summer 1980.
