The fonds contains material collected primarly by Stefan Janiček detailing the Brooke-Alverston, Ontario (Canada) Slovak community spanning a twenty-year period (1935-1955). The material was part of a genealogical project sponsored by the Canadian Slovak League Branch 20 Oil Spring. Peter Molčan joined the project at a later date. Included are photocopied press clippings and a Canadian Citizenship Certificate. The press clippings pertain to various members of the Slovak community from Brooke-Alverston region and gives an overview of the Slovak emigration experience from mid 1930s to 1950s.
The fonds also contains material from the Canadian Slovak League Branch 17 (Sarnia, Ontario). Peter Molčan was the President. Included is the Contributions Book for the Canadian Slovak League Branch 17, a Slovak flag signed by various delegates to a Slovak League Convention in 2016 and records related to membership dues, contributions to the parishes of St. Anthony in Chatham, Ontario and Our Lady of Sorrows in Sarnia, Ontario.

The fonds consists of documents providing an intimate insight of the efforts and struggles of the Gleiman's family members during various major historical events that took place in Europe (Slovakia, Austria, Italy, etc.) and depicting events such as deportation, living in a war camp, emigrating to a foreign and adjusting to a new lifestyle and customs. It contains eleven diaries written by Jan Gleiman (1893-1983) and his son Lubomir Gleiman (1923-2006)'s memoirs.
