This file contains documents from NAWL about social welfare, the Gosselin case, discussion questions, and pamphlets, as well as copies of sections of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms; the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (1966); the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (1966); and the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (1981) as they relate to the Gosselin case. These documents were used during the NAWL 'Welfare Rights are Women's Rights' workshop that was run in Vancouver on March 12, 2001 to discuss and analyze the Gosselin case. A workshop outline is included in this file.
