This fonds consists of records related to Elizabeth Shepherd's involvement in organizations and groups who advocated for the prevention of violence against women. It contains records related to her activities as part of Women's Action Coalition, in particular, her actions with other groups to obtain justice for Gabriela Montans and her children. She was involved with METRAC and the records illustrate the interest she had in legal actions for women. The fonds contains records related to her political engagement against APEC (Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation), her commitment to the UNIFEM's International Campaign in 1993, the "Women Building Peace: From Village Council to the Negotiating Table" campaign in 1999, and her participation in the Voice of Women's Conference "Moving Forward: Women, Peace and Human Rights" held in 1992. It also contains her collection of articles, pamphlets and newspaper clippings on women's issues, mostly about legal actions and events in Canada, and violence against women.

Ce fonds comprend des documents relatifs à l'implication d'Elizabeth Shepherd dans des organisations et des groupes qui ont lutté contre la violence faite aux femmes. It contains constitutions, by-laws, pledges of loyalties, reports, receipts, chronologies, a proclamation, renewals of insurance certificates, forms, collection sheets for funds, insurance and fire policies, telegrams, memoranda, newspaper clippings, articles, agreements, a mandate, meetings' minutes, proceedings, Senate of Canada Bill no. 15: an Act to Incorporate Canadian Slovak League, a response guide, petitions, black and white photographs, ribbons, a colour photographs, twenty-five stamps, resolutions, pleas, a CSL Great Bazar ticket, a greeting card, a commemorative postcard, book excerpts, notes, flyers, a booklet, account of events, a plane ticket, a news release, accounts books, scrapbooks, a diploma, pamphlets, letters, texts, obituaries and lists.

This fonds consists of records mainly collected by John and Barney Matisko. The majority of the documents reflect everyday life in Poland, the Prešov region in Slovakia and Serbia. This fonds consists of documents created, collected and/or received by Štefan Hreha after his arrival in Canada in 1936 reflecting his dedicated work as an editor for Kanadský Slovak, president of Branch 2 of the Canadian Slovak League in Montreal, and other activities as a writer and active member of the Slovak community in Canada.

It contains personal correspondence, articles, photographs and memorabilia as well as song lyrics, posters. It also contains documents relating to the Canadian Slovak League (CSL) including meeting minutes, Slovak publications, reports, invoices and budgets, press releases, reports, speeches and newspaper clippings.

This fonds consists of interviews with Florence Bird, Micheline Dumont, Doris Anderson, and other women, which relate to the Royal Commission on the Status of Women, the National Action Committee on the Status of Women, and the Canadian Charter of Rights. Interviews and recordings were conducted by Patrice LeClerc in the late 1980s, in preparation for her thesis.

Cette collection est constituée d'entretiens avec Florence Bird, Micheline Dumont, Doris Anderson et d'autres femmes, portant sur la Commission royale d'enquête sur le statut de la femme, le Comité national d'action sur le statut de la femme et la Charte canadienne des droits. Les entretiens et les enregistrements ont été réalisés par Patrice LeClerc à la fin des années 1980, dans le cadre de sa thèse.
