Channels of Passion

This is a poster for Channels of Passion, a performance by the Company of Sirens. The performance was held on Saturday 8 November at 8.30 pm [year unknown] at Auditorium Bloor at St. George [Campus] in Toronto. Performers included Lina Chartrand, Shawna Dempsey, Janine Fuller, Cynthia Grant, Amanda Hale, Diana Meredith, Peggy Sample, Lib Spry, and Patricia Wynter.

The Rise of Feminism in the Soviet Union

This poster advertises for an event about the rise of feminism in the Soviet Union with Tatyana Mamonova, an exiled Russian feminist, as a speaker. The event was held Saturday March 7th, at 7:30 in Highlands Hall. The top of the poster reads "International Sisterhood." This event was a part of Mamonova's tour. The poster includes a list of imprisoned women: Ludmilla Dmitriyeva, Vera Golubeva, Galina Grigorieva, Malva Landa, Natalya Lazareva, Natalya Lesnischenko, Tatyana Osipova, Sofiya Sokolova, and Tatyana Velikanova. Dr. Morgentaler Speaks

This poster advertises a series of events in Vancouver where Dr. Morgentaler would speak about facing jail under Canada's anti-abortion law. There were four events: at the University of British Columbia on 10 October, at the Unitarian Church later on 10 October, at Vancouver Community College on 11 October, and at Simon Fraser University later on 11 October. Sponsors included the BC Committee to Defend Dr. Morgentaler, the BC Federation of Women, the SFU Student Society, the Unitarian Church of Vancouver, the Van Area Council NDP, the Van Status of Women, the Women's Bookstore, and the Women's Health Collective. International Women's Day, March 8

This poster advertises activities related to International Women's Day in Vancouver in multiple languages. A benefit dance was organized on Saturday March 4 at Britannia Community Centre. On Sunday March 5, an Information Day on Women and Work was offered at Britannia School Cafeteria. Then, on Wednesday March 8, there was a parade through downtown Vancouver. White background with brown text. At the top of the poster, "International Women's Day, March 8" is translated into six languages. In the middle of the poster there are nine brown, orange, and pink squares that contain images of women doing various activities. Artwork and design by Wendy L. Davis and Norma Dvorsky.

International Women's Day - Feminist Celebration

The celebration included a street parade in costume to a concert, and a feast-rally with songs, poems, and speeches. Beverly Glen-Copeland and Rita McNeil performed at the Sappho Sound Concert, and childcare was provided. White background with dancing figures in black in the middle of the poster.
