Fonds consists of a variety of material from the Women’s Employment Centre, which sheds light on their operations, plans and activities. Similarly, the fonds also includes records pertaining to affiliated projects, programs, associations, and committees.

Series consists of published material (mostly articles) that is divided into "Series A" and "Series B". The published material is further divided—within each series—into "books" and then divided again into "chapters". The files in this series thus contain material from Series A - Books 1 to 3 (Chapters 1 to 19) and Series B - Books 1, 2 and 4 (Chapters 1 to 32 and 32 to 36). Each "chapter" then contains magazine articles and journal articles, as well as briefs, papers, chapters from books and similar material pertaining to women's employment and related issues. Most of the publications are photocopies. The series also contains an index of the published material, including an indexing of additional "chapters" from "series A" (Book 4, Chapters 20-31)—material of which is not found within the fonds.

File consists of a news release, published articles (journal, magazine), notes for opening remarks by Ian Scott (Attorney General) and a report from Commission on Equality in Employment titled "Equality in employment : a royal commission report : general summary" (French and English copies). The first part of the file contains material that is a continuation of Book 3, Chapter 12: "Equal Pay". The second part contains material labelled together as Book 3, Chapter 13: "Equal opportunities".

File consists of notes for remarks by Ian Scott (Attorney General) to the Women's Perspective Advisory Committee, Background notes on birth planning and conception control / by Mary Pearson, an article by Mary Thom entitled "The all-time definitive map of the gender gap", an article by Allan Gould titled "Snakes and ladders : a look at the gains and losses of the feminist movement and what it all mean to our children", a brief to the Special Committee on the Disabled and the Handicapped, and three articles on the topic of disabled people. Material within file is divided into four chapters of "Book 3": Chapter 14 - "Family law act"; Chapter 15 - "Family planning"; Chapter 16 - "Feminism"; and Chapter 17 - "Handicapped women".

Chapter 1: "Women teachers" includes articles: "Mastering the game of Q and A" / by Maureen Hanigan; "Mastering the art of the winning presentation" / by Paul LeRoux; and "Le ras-le-bol des profs / by Helen De Billy. Chapter 2: "Working environment : health and safety" includes: an article titled "Health and safety : will the offices of the future be safe?" from The Fact, vol. 5, no. 7; an articled titled "Worker beware" / by Anne Pappert; and a paper entitled "Occupational health hazards to women : a synoptic view".

File consists of magazine articles (Working Woman, Chatelaine, and Herizons), a journal article from "International Journal of women's studies", a document from Ottawa Women's Network that provides networking tips for women, and an article from the "Business quarterly". Material in the file is divided and labelled together into three chapters of "Book 1" including: Chapter 3 - "Working Women"; Chapter 4 - "Networking for women"; Chapter 5 - "Non-sexist communication".
