Sub-series consists of the minutes of meetings of the NSC as well as reports and other supporting documents. It also contains reports and memos related to NAWL activities and plans that may or may not have been presented at meetings.
The series consists of copies of briefs, addresses, and papers written and prepared by/for the National Association of Women and the Law (NAWL) and its regional caucuses (groups), and by its members. The series includes copies of NAWL publications that were available for purchase. Note that many of the briefs in this series were written for and presented at the NAWL biennial conferences or at workshops. The series also contains papers collected by NAWL on various legal issues which were used for reference purposes.
The series consists of material starting from the early days of NAWL and its beginnings after the 1974 Windsor conference on Women and the Law and the Interim Organizing Committee based out of the University of Ottawa Law School. The National Steering Committee was established in 1975 and acts as the Board of Directors. The series is broken down into sub-series and records include by-laws and constitutions, manuals, resolutions, meeting minutes and reports, financial documents, as well as correspondence. It also includes records related to fundraising, grant applications and external funding requests as well as membership.
The fonds consists of records related to the activities of the National Association of Women and the Law, its Steering Committee and Caucus'. Records are related to NAWL publications, conferences, administration, history and various issues. Series consists of black and white/coloured photographs, strips of negatives and projector slides pertaining to the members and activities of NAWL, the latter of which includes conferences, projects and meetings. Photographs also feature various groups associated with NAWL's activities such as the Elizabeth Fry Society, Advisory Council on the Status of Women [P.E.I.?], Women's Network P.E.I., and All-China Women's Federation (ACWF).
