The National Action Committee on Status of Women (NAC) fonds reflects the everyday activities of Canada’s largest lobbying women’s group. The fonds is structured in 11 series that document NAC’s creation, administrative activities, membership management and financial activities. The fonds is strong in meeting minutes, annual general meeting minutes, campaigns, subject files, correspondence, and personnel files. The records consist mostly of textual material as well as limited photographs, audiovisual material, and t-shirts. - Le fonds du Comité national d'action sur le statut de la femme (CNA) reflète les activités quotidiennes du plus important groupe de femmes lobbyistes au Canada. Le fonds est structuré en 11 séries qui documentent la création du CNA, ses activités administratives, la gestion de ses membres et ses activités financières. Le fonds est riche en procès-verbaux de réunions, en procès-verbaux d'assemblées générales annuelles, en campagnes, en dossiers thématiques, en correspondance et en dossiers du personnel. Les documents sont principalement constitués de matériel textuel ainsi que de quelques photographies, de matériel audiovisuel et de t-shirts.
National Action Committee on the Status of Women (NAC)
Series consists of records created and used for the National Action Committee on the Status of Women's annual general meeting that occurred typically in March. It includes records used for planning purposes such as lists of invitees and members, nominations for executive, budgets, travel and accommodation arrangement, funding for delegates, invites and correspondence, parliamentary lobby documents, etc., as well as records used at the meetings including conference kits, agendas and meeting minutes, copies of the Annual Report, recordings of proceedings, copies of speeches, etc. The records in this series provide an overview of all of the activities, focus and interests of NAC for each year from 1974 to 1994.
This file contains an agenda and conference report and minutes for the fourth annual NAC meeting held in Ottawa in March 1977. It also contains an ammended copy of the Rules of Association from the 1976 meeting.
