Cette série comprend un carnet de voyage et un manuscrit autographe d'un roman. Francis Carco (1886-1956), maître de la littérature populaire et précurseur du roman noir, Francis Carco est né à Nouméa (Nouvelle-Calédonie) le 3 juillet 1886. Poète, conteur, critique, auteur dramatique et romancier, sa jeunesse s’écoule au milieu de la bohème du Quartier latin et de la butte Montmartre. En 1923, l’Académie française lui décerne le Grand Prix du roman pour l’Homme traqué. En 1937, il est élu membre de l’Académie Goncourt. Il meurt à Paris en 1958.
