Biographical history
Ethel Lisbeth (Betty) Donaldson is a professor of education and director of teaching and learning curriculum projects at the University of Calgary. She authored several books and works relating to education, women and the environment. Dr. Donaldson was the Alberta Director for the Canadian Congress for Learning Opportunities for Women (CCLOW), 1996-1999, a member of the Calgary Raging Grannies, and a member on the Executive Board at the Maenad Theatre in Calgary, Albert. In the 1990s, she won the Unitarian Universalist Women’s Association Feminist Theology Award, the first Canadian to have ever done so and used the financial foundation from that award to develop the award-winning play “Images of the Goddess."
