Scope and content

This series contains textual records related to MAW's research and lobby campaigns, including internal correspondence, political correspondence, planning documents, outreach materials, grant applications, project summaries, and secondary research. the series is divided into four sub-series : "Child Care, Parental Leave, and Benefits," "Unpaid Work," "Pension Reform," and "New Reproductive Technologies." While issues in the sub-series frequently overlap (for example, child care is a form of women's unpaid work), the files have been organized according to their predominant focus. Through this series, one can learn about the various issues MAW sought to address and the means by which they lobbied various political representatives. This series also contains information on the structure and function of MAW's Research and Lobby Committee.
