Nancy Adamson was active in the Toronto area women's movement since the mid-1970s. She was one of the women who initiate the Canadian Women's Movement Archives project in the 1980s. She wrote with Linda Briskin and Margaret McPhail, "Feminist Organizing for Change: The Contemporary Women's Movement in Canada: It was published in 1988. She wrote also articles on women's movement history, mostly on Ontario Women's Movement. She was member of the Canadian Women's Movement Archives' (CWMA) advisory Board when the Archives Collection moved to the University of Ottawa Archives and Special Collections in 1991. This series gives an accurate snapshot of records relating to the women's movement history in Canada since the mid 1970s to the early 1990s.

Nancy Adamson était active dans le mouvement des femmes de la région de Toronto depuis le milieu des années 1970. Elle a été l'une des femmes à l'origine du projet des archives du Mouvement canadien des femmes dans les années 1980. Elle a écrit, avec Linda Briskin et Margaret McPhail, "Feminist Organizing for Change : Le mouvement contemporain des femmes au Canada" : Cet ouvrage a été publié en 1988. Elle a également écrit des articles sur l'histoire du mouvement des femmes, principalement sur le mouvement des femmes de l'Ontario.
