This series consists of administrative documents for Mothers Are Women including minutes and annual reports from the Steering Committee, the Workshop Committee, the Research and Lobby Committee, and the editorial board for Homebase Magazine.The series also contains correspondence between MAW and their remote chapters, federal and provincial politicians, and other women's organizations. Through this series, one can learn about MAW's planning and implementation of campaigns, including "Step by Step" and "When Women Count," which pushed to include women's unpaid labour in census data collected by the Canadian government. One may also learn about the collaborations and conflicts which animated the organization, and the administrative work required to operate a lobby group that utilized both paid and unpaid labour.
